This information may help locally based companies decide to start the process of pre-qualifying to do business with these firms and organisations and to secure market opportunities locally or beyond Cumbria.
Alongside these introductions FEDF’s team can give you a bespoke insight into supplier opportunities emerging from new investments being made in south and west Cumbria or North Lancashire or those associated with ongoing manufacturing and service provision in this Lancaster and South Cumbria Economic Region, (LSCER).
FEDF has also mapped some major company supply chains to identify their scale and distribution. Such information can assist local firms to look at meeting the needs of tier 1,2,3 suppliers in those supply chains.
FEDF has also arranged for tier 2 groups of suppliers to visit Furness to meet with companies and explore new new supplier capacity.
Communicating information on major project “pipelines” the huge range of schemes coming up in Furness and the potential work packages involved complements the above. This helps to give you as a potential supplier more certainty about what will happen, when, who is involved and how projects will be delivered.
