The delivery team are generally available from 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday at The Supply Chain Growth CentreTM in Unit 4,Trinity Enterprise Centre, Ironworks Road, Barrow LA14 2PN .
The team deliver FEDF’s vision through its Delivery Plan 2017-2022 which is focused upon four priorities: education employment and skills, infrastructure, business engagement,quality of life. The Delivery Plan sets out longer term objectives and actions to the early 2030s’ including diversification opportunities.
We deliver a Round 3 Coastal Communities Funded programme to strengthen supply chains and transform skills.It aims to capture more supply chain spend locally,support smes with apprenticeship bursaries and raise awareness of emerging job and career opportunities.
1-to-1 detailed advice enables supply chain businesses to grow, win new contracts and access workforce skills.
At The Supply Chain Growth CentreTM we have facilities to demonstrate emerging business opportunities and resources available to help your business grow its supply chain presence. FEDF provides visiting companies with an overview of emerging pipelines of contract opportunities and the capabilities available within the supply chain.
An added advantage is the co-location of our strong partnership with Cumbria Growth Hub which has a useful web portal informing sme sized businesses about supply chain basics, how to set up a new business, how to export through to helpful guidance on supply chain activity and how to prepare to develop your presence in supply chains.
Other organisations co-locating with us include Northern Powerhouse Fund, Furness Education and Skills Partnership.
We also assist companies to undertake supply chain growth by briefing them on how to prequalify for, bid for and win work or interact with organisations such as Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, UKTI, Cumbria Growth Hub and Cumbria Chamber of Commerce.
The Team also work with local suppliers, printers and designers to help you access our services.
In addition we support the economic growth work of local authorities, the two Barrow and Ulverston Business Improvement Districts delivery teams, Federation of Small Businesses, Furness College, the local branch of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply,and other organisations such as accountants, banks and other intermediaries.
