Supply to Bae Systems Submarines

This is a guide for businesses which wish to supply to Bae Systems Barrow shipyard and its network of around 1,000 suppliers located in 444 UK towns and cities. Around 3-4% of the submarine supply chain is also located in Europe and USA.

Astute Launch
Bae Systems Barrow is a hub for over 1,000 suppliers, which deliver up to 60% of the constituent systems that make up a nuclear-powered submarine. There is on-going work on the next generation submarine project “Successor” on which some 850 suppliers in the  UK,  USA and some from Europe will be involved. The Astute class submarine is also underway with 4 boats still to be completed.
